W5AQA, 146.68 MHz (-); PL = 100 Hz or 123 Hz input, 123 Hz on the output; Open Repeater: open autopatch — Located in the Socorro Peak antenna area at an elevation of 7243 ft.; lat/long: 34° 04′ 18″ N, 106° 57′ 46″W (WGS84/NAD83), the station sponsor is the Socorro Amateur Radio Association. The station trustee is James Lommen (KC7QY). This 146.68 MHz machine is a Vertex VXR 5000 Repeater combined with a Pacific Research RI-210 Repeater Controller.

The autopatch is currently non-functional.

To call Socorro Emergency services (911) or the State Police (123), key your transmitter and those three digits. Unkey and you should hear ringing.
To make local telephone exchange calls, key your transmitter, announce your intentions and callsign, key “*” and the phone number, then unkey. Autodial numbers are accessed with the command “**nn”, where nn = the two digit autodial slot.
To terminate your autopatch or autodial call, key “#”.
Those who do not have PL tones on their radios may disable the CTCSS squelch on this repeater with the DTMF sequence “#100”. Reenable the squelch with the keystrokes “*100”.
Because of changes to the New Mexico Tech telephone switching system calls to NMT -5xxx, -6xxx and -7xxx numbers are not now possible using the SARA autopatch. This can be addressed by reprogramming the controller, but it will be some time before that can be done (8/7/07).

W5AQA, D Star module ‘B’ at 444.500 MHz(+) — The repeater is an Icom ID-RP4000V controlled by an Icom ID-RP2C managed by the Icom G2 gateway software. KC5ORO, 442.125(+), PL =123.0: Open Repeater — Located on the roof of Workman Hall (34° 3’58.41″N, 106°54’26.75″W) on the New Mexico Tech campus this repeater is AllStar link (node 45499) enabled. This repeater is sponsored by the New Mexico Tech Amateur Radio Association (TARA).

NM5EM, 145.175 MHz (-), PL = 141.3: Open Repeater — Located in the Socorro Peak antenna area [34° 04′ 18″ N, 106° 57′ 46″ W (WGS84/NAD83)] at an elevation of 7243 ft. This repeater is part of the New Mexico Emergency System.

NM5ML, 147.24 MHz (+), PL = 100.0 Hz; Open Repeater: closed autopatch — Located in the Socorro Peak antenna area [34° 04′ 18″ N, 106° 57′ 46″ W (WGS84/NAD83)] at an elevation of 7243 ft. The coverage area for this repeater is similar to the W5AQA VHF repeater (above).
