Nets and Meetings

• Weekly Socorro ARES net at 19:30 hrs local on Wednesdays (except on the second Wednesday of each month) on the SARA Repeater [146.68(-)]   For all but the last Wednesday, the net is on the 146.68 repeater.  On the last Wednesday of the month the net is conducted on the NM5EM state emergency management repeater 145.175.  We do monitor the 68 for those who don’t have the NM5EM programmed in.
• The Socorro County ARES group meets on the first and third Sundays of each month in the Socorro County EOC, 198 Neel St. at beginning at 19:30 MDT for the NM Section ARES & RACES HF net. The net commences at 19:30 hrs MDT on 3,939 kHz. All stations are invited to check into the net. The net provides a forum for the discussion of Amateur Radio support of all types of emergency communications including MARS, SAR, CAP and public service events. The purpose of Socorro ARES participation is for training and to establish emergency procedures in compliance with our agreement with Socorro County.
