Hamfest
No T-hunt is planned this year.
We still need the name for the lightening forum
speaker.
We will cover insurance requirements for the
banquet using the $95 premium provided by the church.
We will pay $5.50 for the banquet meals.
It was moved (Riley) and seconded (Johnson) that we charge $8.00/meal to
cover the cost of insurance, etc. The motion passed.
We will plan for 40 meals at the banquet.
Brundage reported on charges for bulk rate mailing of the hamfest poster
and noted that we would realize a 60% savings if we took advantage of the
bulk rate for non-profits. Brundage has the application for this and
will submit it in advance of the next mailing. He will see if the City
of Socorro would be willing to pay the fee associated with the
approval.
New Business:
Jim Boswell suggested that SARA consider T-shirts or
similar for the association. He will research the possibilities.
Hamfest set-up/take-down - All available members should
assemble at the Fire Academy at or as soon after 3:00 pm on Friday as possible.
Some set-up for the banquet may also be required. Also members should
report at 7:00 am on Saturday for additional set up and activities.
Help with take-down is needed after the end of the hamfest at 3:00
pm.
