SARA MEETING MINUTES - September 14, 2005
Call to Order: Meeting called to order in the SEC Board Room at 7:34 PM by President Ed Wood. Minutes of the last meeting were approved as posted.
Treasurer's Report: No Treasurer’s report (Treasurer absent).
Old Business:
Hamfest: ARRL has approved, the VE session has been set up, and the Fire Academy is ready. Mailing: per Glenn Mauger, Dave Finley (not present) is finalizing the flyer. Meetings: MARS and ARES, 11:00 to 12:30. No Skywarn this year. Dinner the evening before: Backyard BBQ proposed, generally agreeable. Silent auction: we can still do one though it be small. Door prizes: Ryan Snyder and Dave Finley to handle arrangements; a cap of $1500 expenditures was proposed, motion passed.
Digression for Announcements of upcoming events: The weekend of September 17-18 is “Emergency Power Weekend”. The SET will be in October. The Deming Tailgate session (not a full hamfest, it appears) is to be held at the Mimbres Valley Learning Center.
Old business (continued):
Trailer: Needs a trickle charger; the battery was good but has gone dead. Trailer work sessions proposed for Saturdays after the 8-9 AM informal meetings at McDonald’s. Ed Wood reported that Dave Romero is willing to bring the welder over to attach pipes for antenna mounting.
New business.
