Called to Order at 1934 hours by Glenn Mauger WB5OAF; Ed Wood KD5MFS
unable to attend.
Minutes approved as posted on the Web
Treasurer's report included results of Hamfest. City did pay the
postage.
Old Business:
HAMFEST - good turnout, would have been even better with more
vendors. The silent auction worked out well. There was
insufficient room at the restaurant on Friday night for all the hams who
wished to participate, hopefully we'll have more room next year.
Discussed charging $10 for indoor vendors and $5 for tailgate or outside
vendors next year. Radcom said they need $10K in sales to be
here. Popular programs included ARRL, RACES, ARES, MARS, APRS.
We have 71 photos of the event on CD.
MARS - Glenn Mauger WB5OAF passed around information on 39th squadron's
access for MARS to utilize the armory.
REPEATER - Dave Johnson KB5YIW reported no apparent hail damage. He
will provide the programming cables to Glenn WB5OAF.
ARES - Glenn Mauger WB5OAF stated that the damage to the trailer should be
covered by County insurance and there may be over $2K available to fix
it. The LEPC expects a good turnout at their next meeting. Glenn
has developed a CD for use by select participating agencies.
New Business:
Christmas Dinner - Jon Spargo KC5NTW will make all the arrangements.
Voted to have it at Rancher's Steak House so we could have a separate room.
Good of the Organization:
Dave Johnson KB5YIW got a call from Joel Dean regarding the Tech microwave
ethernet. Ethernet has been going down every October, and Dave will
assist in troubleshooting the problem.
Bob Sparks to work on the Echo Link Repeater; however, deferred due
to storm.
Glenn Mauger WB5OAF will be working the field trip on November 19 during
the Festival of the Cranes with Dave Johnson KB5YIW.
